CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN
Eden Café Can Expand – With Your Help!
We’re calling on all people who believe in supporting local businesses, who love good coffee and who enjoy easy access to veggie, vegan and gluten-free goodies, to join us as we take Eden Café to the next level. Or next door, rather!
We love our cosy corner, but we have long wished for a bit more room – it’s not easy being so squeezy! After looking for a new home for some time, we have been given the opportunity to expand our current premises by taking on the unit next door to us at 5 Wesley Walk. We are so grateful for this chance to grow Eden Café – but we need your help to make it happen.
The case for more space
So let’s hear it: more space for the plant-based!
How you can help us in our new veggie venture
Break down walls! Our plan is to knock through the wall to our new space so we can connect the units. This will allow us to keep serving our customers in our current café while we refurb the new part with more seating, a bigger kitchen and a much-needed storage room. Minimal disruption, lower costs – that’s the name of the game.
In tribute to Jeanne and her wonderful independent vintage Renaissance shop, who have been outstanding neighbours to us over the years, we would like to give expanded Eden a bit of a retro feel with a Kiwi twist.
So here is what we need…………………. Funds!

The case for more space
- We hear it often: “We love your café, but we wish there were more tables”; “It’s a bit tough to get in there with the pram and the dog”; “It would be lovely to be able to bring more people.” More space will help us serve our customers better, while retaining our friendly atmosphere.
- If you think it’s tight in the café you should try being behind the counter! We’d love to have a proper kitchen so we can stop tripping over each other, grow our menu and keep evening hours – even get an alcohol licence so we can offer some vegan beer, wine and cider just in time for summer! Also, did we mention the vegan brunch possibilities a new kitchen will provide?
- Not to blow our own trumpet too much, but we think we offer something unique and we know for certain there is an ever-growing demand for cruelty free, plant-based yumminess in West Oxfordshire. After all, we’ve grown from a market stall to a busy, buzzy café in just 4 years. We would have hated to leave Witney, where we have truly found a home – and a big market – for what we love to do.
- Of course, not everyone who comes to the cafe is vegan or veggie, some just know good food and coffee when they see it. And if we can persuade their palettes to come over to the plant side, so much the better!
So let’s hear it: more space for the plant-based!
